The New Heavens and New Earth

As we continue our journey through the Book of Revelation, we now arrive at one of the most breathtaking and hope-filled chapters in all of Scripture—Revelation 21. This follows the final defeat of Satan, the Great White Throne Judgment, and the eternal sentencing of the wicked to the lake of fire. Now, we see the dawn of a new era—God’s ultimate plan fulfilled as He creates a new heaven and a new earth, free from the corruption of sin and death.

Throughout this series, we have seen how God’s righteous judgments cleanse the earth, preparing for His everlasting kingdom. In this chapter, we move beyond judgment and into the glorious reality of eternity for the redeemed. The curse of sin is completely removed, and God's people enter into perfect fellowship with Him forever.

John describes the breathtaking vision of the New Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down from heaven, adorned like a bride prepared for her husband. This is the eternal dwelling place of God with His people. He will wipe away every tear, and there will be no more death, sorrow, or pain—only everlasting joy and peace.

As we explore this chapter, we will see the fulfillment of God’s promises, the inheritance of those who overcome, and the ultimate fate of those who reject Christ. This is our future hope—an eternity in the presence of God, where righteousness dwells.
